Delivering results

Delivering results and exceeding client expectations is at the heart of the The PR Practice approach.
Here are some recent examples of successful projects for clients.

Generating coverage through surveys and research

A client specialising in cancer screening wanted to raise its profile with HR buyers and decision makers. The PR Practice recommended that we commission an independent research company to carry out a survey to generate results and case studies that would form the basis of an industry report highlighting the value of cancer screening in the workplace.

Alongside providing the client with valuable market information, the report secured extensive coverage within the HR, business and health and safety media. Within the first month of promoting the research, we exceeded the client’s expectations by delivering more than 10 pieces of coverage in the target media and establishing a steady pipeline of ongoing media opportunities throughout the year.

As part of this project, we worked closely with the client to maximise the value of the published articles through the development of blogs, Twitter and LinkedIn posts to raise awareness of the issues covered by the research.

The report was also used to speaking engagements for the client and the project was so successful that The PR Practice was commissioned to deliver the report on an annual basis.

Engaging with employees

The PR Practice has worked with a train operating company for over five years to support the delivery and implementation of their corporate and internal communications strategy. This partnership includes managing and copy-writing a weekly e-newsletter, editorial management of a bi-monthly 16-page magazine and production of weekly plasma screen bulletins.

We also produce monthly performance reports for the business, as well as working alongside the executive team to develop industry award submissions and prepare corporate presentations. In addition, The PR Practice advises on employee engagement initiatives and provides a pro-active and reactive press office function.

Reputation building and profile raising

The PR Practice recently worked with a leading performance consultancy who wanted to spread the word about a new book and raise the profile of its managing director within the HR, management, SME and business media.

The results achieved were impressive and following a three-month campaign, The PR Practice had secured more than 20 opportunities in publications ranging from the Sunday Times, FT Career Counsel, Management-Issues.com, The Manager, Money Maker, Real Business, Edge (ILM), Purely Global, Counselling at Work, The Taylor Review, Director of Finance, Training Journal and Winning Edge, to name a few!

This client had some strong opinions (which always help when it comes to media relations), as well as senior business contacts who were prepared to comment on the issues involved. They also had case studies of where their advice, consultancy and recommendations had been highly effective, which complimented the key messages of their book.

The PR Practice also looked beyond the publication of each article to see where we could work with the client to generate maximum value from it, whether it was publishing articles on their website, sending personal notes to new business contacts with a link to published pieces or using Twitter and LinkedIN to further share the issues discussed in the articles.
